Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
During the last winter freezing cold season, an owner of the small kinder-garden called me on New Year Eve around midnight and said that heating system suddenly stopped working… My team disputed the holiday and day-off came to the job site on January, 1st at 10 am and fixed the problem. So, kids were able to stay in a heated rooms the next morning.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check reviews and pictures from the job.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
All situations are different, yet generic questions are always the same: “How much?”, “How long?”, “How urgent?/When we can start?”
Be truthful to customers. My experience was awful. He quoted me $100 & then $400 then he said $600 with parts & labor. I said ok. I gave him $300 and He came with another man at 9am on Sunday & left 3X to get stuff and at 6:30 on Super Bowl Sunday & they went down the basement and shut the power without telling us and interupted the game. They came back up and checked some wires and said the’ll be back in the morning. 1 guy came back & in 30 minutes he was done & asked for $500 more. My husband said no it was total $600 and I only owe you $300 & he was arguing with my husband and my son said I’m going to call the police and he accepted the balance of $300 and left. Luckily I got a receipt only because I asked for it. It was my worst experience ever. Never again would I use Thumbtack or refer anyone I know to your App Thumbtack.
Handy Kith did a very good job. He was timely and worked efficiently. He took care of everything fast. I would use him again.
Incredible team that was very helpful twice and put together very large bar. It was extremely heavy and helped us move it downstairs. 2 people came for that item. The others Alex put together a table, bookcase, and was able to fix a desk and dresser that someone else did wrong. Very professional. Timely. Great value. And most important the items are perfect and have stayed that way months later.
Alex was punctual, pleasant and helpful. He put together my dresser and then he put the tv on it, which he did not have to do. I would use them again.
Eugene was very quick to respond to our post about troubleshooting an electrical issue in our kitchen. He was in our apartment within the hour of the posting. He quickly found out what the issue was and able to resolve it.
He is very professional and would recommend him to anyone looking for fixing electrical issues.
